From PECO:
“On Sunday, July 4, PECO will celebrate the first anniversary of the launch of its new energy efficienct LED PECO Crown Lights display and to further highlight the new system’s capabilities, the company will feature the digital art of select regional artists.”
Original digital artwork can be seen on PECO’s Crown Lights atop the PECO building on 23rd and Market Streets throughout the evening of July 4thand during a segment to be broadcasted by 6ABC in Philadelphia.
The goal is to utilize the PECO Crown Lights system in a new and different way, and provide recognition to local artists working in a digital format. The July 4 event will launch an ongoing public digital art initiative in a partnership between Breadboard and PECO. Guidelines for future submissions will be posted on PECO and Breadboard websites July 6.
Please stay tuned and keep your eyes on PECO’s Crown Lights on the evening of July 4 for some digital creations by Philadelphia area artists.
